RULES for Internally Coated Piping

 

Maximum

     length: Straight run – 40’ (coated 20’ in from each end)

         With one bend – 20’ (one side of bend only)

  1. Minimum
  2.  
  3.    of FIVE (5) working days to apply and CURE coating. (Dependent on time of year 
       and weather.) Priming adds a day and painting adds another day.

  4.    Limit of one (1) bend (45 degree, 90 degree, etc.) per piece.
    1. Bend cannot be in the middle of the pipe. You may have a straight run on one side of the bend. (Flange only on other side)
    2. Flanges on either end are okay.
    3. A "T" is allowed in the straight run, with a flange only on the end. (No Bends)

  5. Must be cleaned prior to arrival (no oil)
  6. Minimum diameter of 3 inches.

  7. You must be able to reach in and grind the weld at the bend. IF YOU CAN’T REACH IT TO GRIND IT, WE CAN’T REACH IT TO COAT IT.
  8. All welds to be ground smooth. Rough welds cannot be coated properly, therefore NO WARRANTY.

The paint lance is inserted from the end of the pipe up to the joint and pulled back in a straight fluid motion. This lance CANNOT bend around corners, therefore must be inserted from either end and pulled out to apply coating. We must be able to reach in to the corner to ensure there is sufficient coating applied. If coating is light on bends, we must be able to reach in (by hand) and apply grout to these areas.

If any of the above stipulations are not adhered to we can only apply coatings to the best of our ability and cannot offer full warranty.
